Acne and Scar Minimisation

Saying 'bye bye' to acne and old scarring will require a treatment plan tailored for you and the correct homecare products. We recommend starting with the skin detox facial for a thorough deep clean and acne removal. If you have a lot of acne some of the longer treatment options will be required. A salicylic peel is a must with these at the right stage of the treatment process. We will work with you to find the cause of your acne and help you treat it with diet and lifestyle changes, and create a treatment plan with homecare products to get your skin smoother and your confidence higher in no time.

Regular LED to kill the acne bacteria, drain to the lymphatic system and promote healing is a great option along with PRIN Lymphatic Therapy, available as an add on or a stand alone treatment. Soon this will be available as a homecare kit, and is amazing for reducing the large red bumps (nodules) under the skin often caused by hormonal breakouts. Once the larger surface acne has been dealt with skin needling to minimise the appearance of scarring and enlarged pores, and help eliminate low grade acne is a must have treatment.

We recommend a LED light lounge visit after all facials. It also reduces blotchiness post extractions and LED promotes skin healing and treats all skin concerns. Your therapist will choose the best colour to help reach your skin goals faster. For anti ageing red is the go to increasing the ATP in the cells which builds collagen and elastin, plumping and firming the skin. Skin Needling / CIT

Skin needling also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy or microneedling is a hero in anti ageing treatments, creating mass collagen, plumping up skin, reducing wrinkles, refining skin tone, capillaries pigment and more.For acne, it can reduce the depth and appearance of scars and minimise low grade 1 and 2 break outs. PRIN Lymphatic Therapy

PRIN Lymphatic Therapy is a fantastic treatment for acne prone skins. It drains impurities and blemishes out through the lymphatic system, gets the blood and circulatory systems pumping bring oxygen and nutrients to the skin to heal and recharge it. One of our favourites! A salicyclic acid BHA peel. We have various strengths and skillfully work your skin for maximum results while remaining safe. This treatment reduces acne inflammation, kills the acne bacteria, removes old acne scarring, built up dead skin and scar tissue and melts away the sebum in pores for a deep clean. It also targets pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and is our preferred deep peel choice. All peels come with a calming hydro-jelly mask afterwards. Expect to peel after.

A chemical exfoliation of the skin, designed to resurface and fight fine lines, pigmentation, uneven texture and tone, using a variety of acids, depending on what we are treating. A course of treatments a week apart in increasing strengths is usually required. There may be peeling after or not, depending on the acid used and strength and goals of treatment. PRIN Lymphatic Therapy

Lymphatic Therapy is a tightening treatment mask for clinic and salon use. It’s designed to work with your circulatory system - an often overlooked, but vital component of optimal skin health. This organ system is responsible for removing waste via our lymphatics, and nourishing our cells and tissues via our blood supply. These systems always work together, taking and giving, maintaining homeostasis. The circulatory system plays a key role in a holistic approach to skin health. 

When our blood circulates around our body it provides nutrients (such as amino acids), water and oxygen to our cells and tissues. However during the capillary fluid exchange (where water, amino acids, and oxygen cross the capillary wall into the extracellular fluid), fluids don’t travel very far into the surrounding tissue, and even less when there are roadblocks. Which is why there needs to be a ‘clear road’, free from debris, so that these nutrients can get to their target. This is why lymphatic drainage is important to the health of your skin! 

It’s not only what goes into the body, it’s what goes into the cell. Just because you have oxygen, nutrients and water in your body, that doesn’t mean they are reaching the cell. You need supply AND you need drainage before supply.
